Sanford runs less rigidly than Augusta.
The Sanford clinic has a community-clinic feel and a lighter clinical hand than Augusta. Many of the people who walk in here are entering treatment for the first time or are in earlier phases of court involvement. The clinical schedule flexes around shift work, family schedules, and the realities of small-town Southern Maine.
Sanford doesn’t have its own recovery residence. Clients who need safe housing alongside their outpatient care can be placed in one of the MARR-certified residences on the Augusta side of the network, with the warm handoff coordinated by the same clinical team. Most Sanford clients do not need that level of support, and the clinic schedule fits the reality of living at home.
