One call or one message. We take it from there.
Admissions reviews your situation directly and books an assessment with a medical provider, normally within 24 hours. MaineCare, Medicare, and major private plans cover treatment. No referral required, no triage waitlist, no screening gate.
Tell us a little about what brings you here.
Admissions reviews every message during business hours and reaches out the same day. If you contact us after hours, we call you back the next business day.
By submitting this form you confirm that the contact information you provided is yours and that you agree to be contacted about your inquiry. Your information is handled in accordance with HIPAA from the moment you reach us.
What happens after you call or send the form.
Most people are on a provider’s calendar inside 24 to 72 hours of first contact. Here is the path from your first message to your first visit.

01
We call you back
Admissions returns your message during business hours, the same day if you reach us before 4:30 PM, or first thing the next business day if it is later. The person on the line is local and has the authority to schedule you.

02
We confirm insurance and book the first visit
We verify your coverage on the call. MaineCare, Medicare, most private plans, OHH, STR, and sliding-scale self-pay are all accepted. Then we schedule your first visit at Augusta or Sanford, whichever works.

03
You meet a medical provider
First visit is with a nurse practitioner or physician, not an intake screener. They review your history, discuss medication options if appropriate, and walk out with a treatment plan you are part of. MAT typically starts by visit one or two.
Questions people ask before they call.
No. You can self-refer at any time. Most of our clients reach us directly without a referral from another provider, and we never require one as a condition of treatment.
MaineCare, Medicare, and most major private insurance plans, plus federally-aligned funding paths most providers do not surface: OHH (Maine Office of Health and Housing) for opioid-dependent qualifying clients, and STR (State Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis). Sliding-scale self-pay is also available. We verify your coverage during the first call so there are no billing surprises.
Most clients are on a provider’s calendar inside 24 to 72 hours of first contact. We do not run a triage waitlist. If you reach us during business hours, admissions schedules you on the same call.
Yes, and we recommend it if you are ready to talk. The phone is the fastest way in. Admissions answers Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at (207) 245-1800. Outside those hours, leave a message and we call you back the next business day.
A photo ID, your insurance card if you have one, and a list of any medications you currently take. That is it. If you do not have all three, we still see you and our case managers help sort the rest. Coming in is more important than the paperwork.
Yes. Everything you share is protected by HIPAA from the moment you reach us. We do not disclose that you contacted us or that you are in treatment with anyone outside Enso unless you sign a release directing us to do so.
A family member, partner, or referring provider can call to ask questions and start the conversation, but we will need to talk with the person who is coming to treatment to confirm details and schedule the first visit. We also work with case workers, probation officers, and reentry coordinators arranging warm handoffs from county jails or other programs.
Reach out anyway. We accept MaineCare and have OHH, STR, and sliding-scale paths specifically for clients without traditional coverage. Our case managers help with insurance enrollment, transportation, and the practical parts of getting in. Money is rarely the reason someone is turned away from Enso.
Just pick up the phone. That’s all you need to do.
Admissions answers Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. A real person picks up. They have the authority to schedule you and the experience to answer your questions. MaineCare accepted, no referral required.
